Our Story
Sardinian food is loud, generous, stubborn, and deeply proud and so are we. It's food made to be shared, passed around, eaten slowly and remembered. Plates for the middle. Bottles opened early. Conversations that don't end when the plates are cleared.
Domo was founded in Sheffield in 2019 by husband and wife Raffaele and Sarah - Raffaele born and raised in Sardinia, Sarah Sheffield born and bred. Seven years on, that same shared dream has found a second home in Leeds.
Domo Leeds lives at Tower Works on the South Bank, a canal-side space built for noise, warmth and people. Inside, you'll find hand-woven Sardinian baskets made by Raffaele's aunts, traditional hand-carved masks from Mamoiada, artwork by Sardinian artists, and a bold mural celebrating the island. Bespoke tables with authentic Sardinian tiles. A circular cocktail bar. An open kitchen so you can watch it all happen.
From long lunches to late nights. First dates to big tables. Aperitivo to the last glass poured. Weekday takeaway for the neighbourhood. Weekend breakfasts worth getting up for. Just honest Sardinian cooking served the way it's always been meant to be.
Ajò!
Everything here is "Fatto in casa"
Which means "made in house". And we mean everything. The bread. The pasta. The Sauces. The desserts. Made on site, by hand, every day.
Expect hand-folded culurgiones, malloreddus done properly, seafood fregola, spaghetti with sea urchin, and dishes built around the sea. Delicacies like bottarga, platters of Sardinian cured meats and local cheeses, and long, slow suckling pig feasts made for sharing. To finish, proper Sardinian desserts like seadas - hot, sweet, and unapologetic.
The drinks stay firmly on the island too.
Cannonau, Vermentino, and other Sardinian wines chosen for the table, not the shelf. Aperitivo that turns into dinner. Dinner that turns into one more bottle. Always one more bottle.
